My Thoughts on Cori

Cori is the eldest in our sibling group of 5. She manages to keep the house in order, especially taking over a lot of my household responsibilities when I am too sick to do anything. She created the headcovering business that Sarah and I run. Come to think of it, she and Mary Beth have creatively come up with most of the endeavors that we have undertaken. God has really given Cori a talent in creativity. A lot of times I think of her as the heart of most of what goes on in the family. I don't know what we'd do with out her.

She loves the French Impressionist paintings of Monet, her favorites being the Garden at Giverny and the Lady with the Umbrella (the background).

Cori loves anything blue. One of these "blue" items are hydrangias. She and mom share a love for this flower.

Cori began her collections with anything cobalt blue...

She has always loved playing the violin.

She loves morning glories and has a beautiful collection of morning glory decorations.

Her first collection started with hearts of all kinds.

In the past few years, she been collecting lady bugs.

Over the past 3 years, she has collected anything that has to do with snowflakes.

Of course when we were kids, we each had our own Strawberry Shortcake. Lemon Merangue was Cori's. Maybe it was because it is her favorite pie.

And I can't forget the Care Bears. These 2 were her collection.

Cori, teaches violin lessons full time. Many students she teaches at home, and the others are taught at a private school. She is one of the music theory teachers at the school as well. She loves her violin, whether it is to play for the 3 bands at church, or to teach it to her many students. She has always loved the Lord through her violin. Along with all the violin responsibilities, she still finds time to decorate most of the cakes and all of the wedding cakes that are ordered at the bakery. I have never seen anyone as skilled as she in decorating cakes and coming up with original ideas. God has truly blessed her with many skills! Click here for cake Photos that she has decorated.

Many mornings you can find Cori on the computer doing her devotions on the internet. She accesses anywhere from the Strong's Concordance, to the writings of Oswald Chambers & Charles Spurgeon.
