Daniel & Rachel Jones
October 16, 2004

We spent the summer
helping Rachel prepare for The Wedding; Sarah became the wedding planner “at the
October 16th was the big day!!! Rachel was radiant and smiling all evening…she is so in love with our boy!!! Everyone agreed…Mom and Dad were so cute the whole evening. Dad was Daniel’s best man, in southern tradition! J
Hundreds of people
attended the wedding, and we were especially happy to have some of our lifelong
friends come in from out of state: Pam, Britt, and Katie Ivey from Atlanta; Lori
Gherman from Washington state; Lesley Dingwall from Panama City; and Neely,
Sally, & George Herbert from North Carolina.
Daniel
and Rachel (both 24) live nearby, so
it is a blessing that we get to see them often.
They are as happy as two bugs in a rug!
They have a nice little condo where Rachel
has made quite a cozy nest for them; she is an answer to all of Dad’s
and Mom’s prayers for a daughter-in-love! J
Rachel is a fourth/fifth grade school teacher at

We
hosted Rachel's first wedding shower in August and were blessed that so many of
our friends were able to come and meet our new sister!
We
hosted the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening.. Due to Hurricane Ivan, our
beautifully manicured lawn where we had planned to host the dinner was
ruined. So we spent Friday setting up a banquet feast in the children's
church auditorium at Marcus Pointe. Thanks to all our girls and friends
for all their hard work- Reneé, Lee, Sarah S. Marisa, Aly, & Summer-
They helped us with the setup and tear down; you are appreciated more than words
can say!
Dad,
Cori, and Mary Beth spent a combined 70 hours baking, icing, decorating, and
setting up the twelve-layer wedding cake. Mary Beth was in tears by
Saturday morning...too many late-night hours!
The
groom and cohorts (aka, cool dudes) attired in pj's and shades!!! Right
before the ceremony, Daniel started freaking out, but the guys helped to
straighten him out. J
