Mary Bee's Buzz

Mary Beth (29) and Sarah spent a busy semester tutoring at the school, CIAS.  Mary Beth is the senior class sponsor and hosted all the class meetings and activities.  Fourteen seniors graduated in May.  She also keeps up with the records office and all the paperwork involved.  She enjoys tutoring twenty or so students per week and is the academic counselor for the high school. The CIAS Class of 2004's webpage: www.christianinstitute.com/graduationinvitation2004.htm.  She planned a Board meeting in August, as well as High School Orientation.  She also enjoyed the weddings of several former students this fall: Ashley Whitehead and Sarah Jeffrey.  She especially enjoyed having her friends Lesley Dingwall and Lori Gherman visit for Daniel's wedding. 

Mary Beth joined the Intercessory Prayer Team at Hearts Ablaze Youth Church in February.  She has appreciated and need the added spiritual encouragement and challenges that being a prayer warrior brings into her walk with the Lord and her ministry with the teenagers.  She is enjoying her college classes through ORU's external degree program.  She also joined the choir at Liberty Church and enjoyed singing in the Christmas service last week.  She loves a variety of musical styles and has enjoyed many concerts this year with her sisters.

She enjoyed designing a website for a girls magazine that she used to write articles for, www.hopechestmagazine.com.  Mary Beth’s favorite seashell store and an old Pensacola Beach landmark, Alan Davis Souvenirs, closed earlier this year, much to her chagrin and shell-collecting sadness!  L  She pinched her sciatic nerve during hurricane cleanup and was laid up for several weeks on mandatory rest...boy, was that hard!  Her greatest news of the year?  After twenty years of looking and hunting, she finally found a replacement for a broken heirloom vase bequeathed to her by Aunt Rene when she was a little girl.  She was so excited when she found it that she cried!!! J

Congratulations and best wishes to her friends who were married this year: Erin Gray, Beth Bekemeyer, Sara Wulbecker, and Donna Connelly (ITC, '96).  Baby Trina born to Sarah O. Garner, and baby Peyton to Cassy Green Yoder.  Engagements for Lis Thompson and and Brenda Harstad.
