Schedule
At CIAS, our school year begins August 1 and ends July 31. Tutoring lessons
begin August 15 and end May 25. This enables flexibility to individual family
schedules. Your school calendar may vary according to your personal observance of holidays, birthdays, vacations, celebrations, reunions, or sick
days.

Every student must have
a permission slip on file before they will be allowed to participate in
any CIAS activities or field trips. Tentative list of activities:

Special arrangements must be made to stay later. Additional fees may apply.
Lunch
& PE
Students enjoy a one-hour lunch and PE break at 12:00 noon each day.
Students should provide their own lunch and drinks. They are allowed supervised
walks to Parade or the Bread of Life Bake Shop to purchase food and drinks as
well. Students may not leave the school premises without permission. Car-pooling
to pick up fast food lunches is prohibited, except in pre-arranged (parents)
and permitted (CIAS) circumstances. A microwave for heating food and a refrigerator for cold storage is available. See appropriate lunch food handout.
After lunch students may play volleyball and basketball. Walking, jogging,
skate boarding, inline skating, and playing at the Osceola Park are also
permitted as weather allows. Board games and computer games are also available with
teacher's permission. Appropriate PE clothing must be worn.Girls: Loose coulottes or knee-length shorts; no pants
Boys: Knee-length shorts or sports pants
